Looks like one of the War at Sea models.
I have a good collection of both US & Jap carriers, cruisers, destroyers & freighters for use in WW2 Pacific games.
Pic attached from Battle of the Bismarck Sea game.

Great idea Boris - using the TANKS terrain as islands. I would be curious about the carrier too.

Thank you very much for your kind postes.
The aircraftcarrier is a 1:1200 plastmodell from "revell" - Carrier "Shinano" . The mat is from "cruel seas" warlord games and the Island is from " FoW - Tank"

    Thanks for the photos!

That's given me a few ideas.

The "Cruel Seas" game looks very interesting and I see the ships are 1/300...hmmm.

Same size as I use for my ships Boris.
You put on a great show there.
Please keep reports of this caliber coming Just what we need for the Pacific.

Here is one of mine getting a pasting in the Med.

Armoured flight decks, got to love them.

The photo my dad took of this action said "Illustrious cops a packet in the Med". Unfortunately he sent it along with a load of other photos to the Royal Navy Museum just before he died. Needless to say Illustrious came through it. As you say Gary, thank goodness for Armoured Flight decks.
Incidentally my dad ended his war in Australia at Woolongong. The Americans dropped the bomb just before his escort group were sent North. He could never say enough about the friendly hospitality that he and his men got in Aus.

Great photographs, Boris! What sort of rules did you use for anti-aircraft fire, please?

    Hallo David.
I used the rule from "Midway Rising" - "Dive Bomber & AA fire" 11-26-2012 .
    It works very well.

I want to add my kudo's to the the well done AAR. Started at the bottom of the pics and it writes itself, I could hear the radio calls in my head. That mat and the model are excellent. Looks like a great combat!

The P47's really shredded the defenders.

Where did you get your P-38s from, and what company makes them?
