Great photograph, Barry!
Been there, done that
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
Great Pics. The most iconic fighter along with the P51. I wonder which felt the best to fly. from a pilots view point Spitfire or P51D?
Super pictures, chaps!
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Simply lovely...wow...such a pretty plane, indeed. And I think this paint scheme is one of my all-time favorites
All the best,
Matt
Great pictures. Thanks for posting.
Here's to them what are like us. Damn few and they're all dead.
Nice picture, Barry.
The Spitfire is a real beauty.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Yes. How can you not love a Spitfire.
Fantastic. I posted a thread about Humongous Moves when the guy here in MD bought a Spitfire. He also has a P-51 and wanted to fly the Spitfire more. I thought what he said at the end of the show, before he took off, was that he did not own the Spitfire but was rather the custodian of such an iconic aircraft.
It is interesting to see how the QV bleeds onto the wings as if painted by Dali. I have never noticed that before with identification letters.

They also forgot to add the sky wrap over on the wing edges . . . must have been a repaint by the owner . . .
Oh yes Dave. I clean forgot about that one. As Tim says
