    Default A side job

...or, why I have no foliage for scenery.

I've recently completed a several-year effort building a miniature Zoo for my Mother-in-law's annual winter village she & my father-in-law set up every year. Lots of work but it turned out well.

But his enclosure is right across from zoo maintenance:

Oh, all the 'windows' and 'glass walls' in the various buildings are repurposed packaging plastic. I'm a big fan of repurposing & recycling.

Thats pretty neat Sam. Now you should hang a Snoopy and Red Triplane over the village.

Definitely an interesting addition to a winter village.

I think we can say that is definitely a first for the Drome Sam.
Just hope it avoids the bombing raids. Don't want all those animals on the loose.

    Good job, Sam!

That takes me back - I used to have dozens of "Britains" zoo animals, but never enough enclosures for them.
I wonder what happened to them all - I haven't seen them in years.
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

Aggresive pilots like Peter and Rob immediately see your Zoo as a potential WoG target, Sam. If I were you I would employ some AA guns around it with no delay!

You are welcome, Rob. That was fast! Maybe because I mailed it in the old Victorian Post Office building in Nuwara Eliya.

Next project might be a flight cage. If I keep the birds confined, the rest of the animals should be safe, yes?

Only if they are birds of prey, Sam.

Nice job and well done. Keeps you busy and you never know what ideas you can come up with while doing other projects.

Great modelling, Sam! Just be careful that the chimpanzees do not use tree branches as ladders to help them escape. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-a8771951.html

Lower down the page accessed by Rob's link is an article about Hardit Singh Malik the first Indian pilot in the R.F.C..
