    Default My Favourite Planes

I have 18. That is 15 Ares/Nexus and 3 F-Toys. Magnificent looking birds imho (my photos do not do them justice). What are your favourites?

18 and they're all Central Powers. Doesn't it make the combat a bit one sided? I also think the Central Powers planes certainly have the edge by far in terms of looks.

I do like Udet's Fokker DVII especially his little message on the tailplane. I also like Jacobs Albatross DVa and even the Niemann/Kolodzicj Oranges and Lemons style Halberstadt CL II.

Have just started a couple of repaints. I've done a Robert von Griem Fokker Triplane which as it's Red, White and Green has a very Xmas festive look. Here he is in action chasing an RE8 off the board.

My favorites has always been the Dr I; too many cartoons, movies, etc. But for actual looks I always thought the pushers were unique, the DH2s.

The DH2 is a bit of a grail for me. Haven't found any for sale yet.

I was very lucky and scavenged several stores, here and in the uk, plus a user here as well. It took a bit of doing but I got them all.

Also, very nice playmate btw. The clouds really make it pop. Any details on how you produced it? Thank you.

It seems that I love every single plane of my collection, since I was recently looking for selling some of my planes and couldn't choose any to release. Overall I prefer the colourful variants. My most favourite planes are the Blaue Maus and the Bullet with the red nose.

Besides Rob's invisible matter, another way of obtaining a thin, but sturdy rigging wire is to melt a plastic sprue over a candle. Works fine.

Don't be silly chaps. I never give the Gin time to condense.

I just used fine paintbrush hairs & superglued them to the pilons.
