Day 1 saw 4 games before lunchtime, and 2 large ones afterwards.
Scenes from the largest battle, involving 9 aircraft of different types. Only the Red Fokker Dr.I was an unrepainted official model. The Thai Spad XIII was a repaint of a Nexus model. The rest were Shapeways. The SE5a and Fokker D.VII were official aircraft, the Spad XII, Fokker D.VI, Camel NF, and Pfalz D.VIII were unofficial. Snoopy is of course sui generis.
Rules for the Spad XII armament were simple. B armament, but on the third card ( and only on the 3rd card each turn ) C armament. So no complications keeping track of reloading, and a bit more limiting to simulate use of the MG to find the range first. The effect was mainly on morale, knowing that the shot could do severe damage. An A armament would actually have been more effective in dealing out points, but far less effective in scaring the opposition. It only takes one 8 pt hit to make an enemy player's eyes water.
