Default The Wright Flight takes to the skies once again!

This coming Saturday is the second Saturday of the month, and that means our local group is playing once again at Epic Loot in Centerville, Ohio. Doors open at 11 AM, so come join us if you're able

We have all sorts of planes that need to be flown, so it might be Russians or Palestine or Western Front...and I have a couple of griffons whose rules I need to do a little playtesting for Origins...

    All the best,
    Matt

Three quick pics from our gaming today. The first two show two griffons from my embyonic Jasta Greif, still needing final painting but mounted on their custom stands I had Keith make for me. We played six turns with the beasties accompanied by an SS DIII against four SE5a opponents. It was great to test-drive the rules I have so far for them and get ideas from the group on how things work and how some changes might be implemented. The griffons have no ranged attack and must close to 'hand to hand' combat by ending their movement on an enemy's base - essentially running into the plane they want to attack. Everyone seemed to enjoy the workout. Thanks for all the input, lads!

This third pictures of our 'real' game - three SE5As against two SS DIIIs and a Fokker DVII - quite the even match. Two on each side went down and an SE5a and SS DIII each limped back home with one damage point remaining...

Always time well spent playing with these folks - a veritable treasure trove of knowledge and gaming experience...

    All the best,
    Matt

And I thought G-8 and his Battle Aces were pretty wild.

Great old comic there, Robert! There is a Jonny Quest episode from the Sixties called 'Shadow of the Condor' that I would love to recreate sometime, with a SPAD XIII, Fokker DVII and an Andean condor...

While I dearly love the historical nature of this game, I also enjoy spicing things up from time to time with 'monsters' and other mayhem.

    All the best,
    Matt

    Great pics, Matt and Jim.
Those Griffins look good already - can't wait to see them after completion.
I really like your SE.5as as well.
    Nice and simple.
Been holding off repainting some of mine until Ares shows us what they are going give us.
They are going to give us some, right? ....

I have often seen things like that when flying solo over the lines.

Not only does the G&T help keep you warm at altitude, but it sharpens your vision, right, WingCo?!?

WingCo are you sure that wasn't during the Opium War?

Hang on a minute Jim. Even I don't go back quite that far.

Just remembered I do go back that far Jim. In my persona as Bligh on Sails. This split personality thing is confusing.
