    Default An unexpected Christmas suprise.

Whilst visiting Mrs Kytes niece in Bristol just prior to Christmas, she suddenly whisked me off to Filton Aeronautical museum for the day.
Here are a few of the photos I took just to give during the tour to you something to look at whilst you wait for the new year.

Yes they did allow us on board Concorde, but unfortunately Brian Trubshaw was not on the Flight deck, although there was one of the engineers who helped to build it to give us the once over everything.

Just a selection of the things which Bristol Aero Company have had a hand in producing over the last 100 years or so.

Very nice Skipper. I bet I know who is drooling into his beer, or would that be into his Gin and Tonic?

This looks very interesting, my niece bought me a bottle of wine for Christmas, she probably knows my taste as much as Mrs Kytes niece knows yours. Thanks for posting these there are some jolly good pictures.

I was down near Yeovil a few weeks ago and went to the museum there - it was closed, looks like you had a much more successful day.

Hmmm... Not too clear on British geography, but if one were to travel from Plymouth to Doncaster, would not one have to consider travelling close to Bristol?

May have to add a day's travel to that trip, or extend the travel time.

Mike [mikeemagnus] will have to advise, I suspect, being the travel guide for that part of the trip.

Absolutely correct Mike - a slight detour and Bob's your uncle. The museum is just off the M5 Motorway, which is part of our route to Doncaster. Adding a day's travel - well that depends how much time you would like to stay there PM me on that one.
