    Default Wright Brothers Day

Although it is not an 'official day' the likes of which we see popping up here in the US all the time, today is the 115th anniversary of powered flight. This is the day the Wright Brothers set the course for loosing the bonds gravity places on us all...

Why not 'celebrate' by doing something plane-related? Playing some Wings or painting/repainting a plane or buying more for your growing collection or posting an AAR with pictures to the Forum - the possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

    Always the best,
    Matt

Great collection, Dave! Love the Wright Flyer casting a shadow into the 21st century...

    Thanks for the "heads-up" Matt.

I am afraid that the attachment fairy has affected your last post, David.

    I beg to differ, Matt..................

The possibilities are limited by my not having any free time at the moment
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

Well, Tim, you can always think airplane thoughts while you're doing what you 'have' to do...

By the way, I need to correct my initial statement about the status of Wright Brothers Day - it seems it is a nationally-listed observance day...

    All the best,
    Matt

If the Wright Brothers had not flew we probably would not have Wings of Glory.

Had it not come up on my FB feed from the National Museum of the US Air Force, I wouldn't have known, Bob... One of those dates you learn in school and then don't revisit unless it becomes relevant in your life...

Great to see the pictures in all their glory, David! That Mrs, Clipper is one lucky lady!!!

    All the best,
    Matt

Still loving the pics, Dave. And the 3D rigged Flyer is ridiculous.

Saw mention in today's Today in History column in the paper (Yes I still read the paper) and figured you would post, Matt.

    Nice pics, David.
