Anyone in Brisbane for a scramble?

Hello all fellow airmen. Long time no hear, I was busy with Honours project for my Uni degree, so wasn't very much on the talking to anyone thing. More of me assuming a "hermit" kind of life, stuck in an office doing work. Anyway, I am back, and I will be in Brisbane between 5-7 December for some business, but will have some free time. Anyone in Brisbane for a scramble on any of those days?

G'day Esa. Sorry I am not aware of any WoG players in Cairns.
Might be an idea to see if there are any Games Clubs in Cairns (Nice city! I have been up there for a visit some years ago.)

Welcome to the friendly airfield of all WoG players (no pun intended , and actually I am one though). I guess, try finding a wargames club, and if you don't happen to find anyone who plays it, maybe try to promote the game (I tried to perform a thorough search on the net with regards to Cairns players, alas - no results unfortunately on my end). It maybe hard at first to get the game going, but once you get the interest, you may kindle up a flame of enthusiasm (and hell why not, a game so simple to learn but takes years to master and plays on those notes of "Knights of the Skies" that brews so much to the imagination) - it is a good change for the kids too to get them off the comps and to start socialising, so this may be a promotional point as well (guess these are good hints for you I hope on how to sell the idea). Yeah, darn the distances, I wish I could help you out there, if only my conference was nearby, I could try to get something started, like through a big game or something and bring all my planes along and do a big show-game of a sort. Try it out I guess is my suggestion if you can't find anyone. You have a few planes, right? Try getting a Come'n'Try game at some local games store...
