    Hope it gets sorted, WingCo.

You're still in the hospital, Rob?

Hope you can recreate a bit. 24 degrees here and sunshine.

Wish I could change the conditions. Sun for you and rain for me (and the rest of the republic).

I really enjoyed the time we had in Prague.

Hi Guys, still awaiting replies from 16 UK members who attended last year.

Will the Dutch contingent make it across this year?

This is not good news chaps.

Due to a change in dates for our holiday this year from May/June to August/September, our 3 week trip to Canada will mean we do not get back into the UK until the 15th of September. I normally work Tue/Fri/Sat and to ask for more time off so soon after having the best part of 4 weeks off (ie Fridays and Saturdays), it would be very cheeky to ask for time off so soon after.

So unfortunately I will not be attending Doncaster this year. Chris has taken over, as he did admirably last year, running the Ace of Aces game on Sunday. You may also have noticed that I did not put myself down to run any games either, for this very reason.

I will keep up the admin work until August, when I will have to hand it over to someone else, I am hoping that like last year much is already in place and game slots fully organised and player slots booked.

If the situation changes I will keep you informed.

    Neil

Very sorry to hear your news Neil. It won't be the same without your ever cheerful presence at the tables, nor of your good lady in the evenings.

This time it will be a combination with Leeds on Thursday and Doncaster Fri+Sat+Sun. The only thing is that we need to leace earlier then before: we are going to take off 17:25 from Leeds Bradford.
But I am happy I can come this year. We will see what about next years, I will tell you there

Strangely Brown and F.a.D. are otherwise engaged, long planned. Brambo is not too well and waiting a a yes/no rather than no commitment answer from CodEyes. There are still 11 others I am awaiting answers off.

    Serious regrets...

Two things have come up that have thrown a very large wrench into the works for attendance at Doncaster, this year.

I have had to sacrifice money to the Dental Gods, as I discovered damage to two teeth. Crowns were the only solution, other than complete removal.

Also, Donna has been advised that her Ontario family is holding a long delayed Celebration of Life for her dearly departed Aunt and Uncle, and that will be in late September. We haven't been out to see family and friends in Ontario in over ten years, so we can't decline this invitation. We can't afford three substantial trips in one year, despite the significant assistance on the April trip (Thanks to the Forum).

I have been doing everything I can to try to make the Doncaster thing work, but without a lottery win of substantial amount, all of the above can't fit into our budget in one year.

So sorry to hear this news Mike.
We were so looking forward to having you and Donna to stay.
Still we can hopefully arrange something similar for next year.
All the best Rob and Eileen.
