    Of course!

Hard decision between the first T&T and BGS, but I want to join you.

Do I need to play with a paper model or can I throw myself into a plastic cockpit?

So Friday is BGS for for me. (if possible)

For Saturday I want to stay at the SoG table.

Same hard decision - Suteten 38 sounds very intersting, but then I miss the second part of the campaign.

Not for me I'm afraid Paul. I'm too heavily involved with the Tripods. They are far worse than the Asteroids and you can't get ointment for those. They enclose a very high temperature Bunsen burner as I understand it.

    My choices:

    Friday - BSG
    Saturday - Table 3, Table 1, Table 3 please

BUT - Is there a WW1 game planned for after lunch on Saturday? The slot looks open (but I may be wrong). If it is I could look to do a "Wings and Waves of Glory" game with seaplanes and coastal motor boats and the odd submarine.....

EDIT - strike the last paragraph, just found out I may be overseas the week before Donnie (which is now making me worried as to whether the "job" will be finished before the end of that week....

    Hi Lex.

    You could start here.

    https://www.sailsofglory.org/showthr...6598#post86598

I will be adding more biography's of both Captains and ships over the next Month, but as we are only dealing with the part of the Inshore Squadron which was active in the attack, that should be enough for the moment. It looks as if each Captain will be in command of a couple of ships with specific duties. Either a Bomb Ketch, and a fire ship plus one of the fighting ships. The French will be the sitting ducks as they were in the actual event.

Scenario for ---Protect the Balloon Table One Saturday 0930-1200

A British Observation Balloon has been deployed some 500 yards behind the British front line and its task is to photograph the German defences in the immediate area prior to an upcoming British offensive.

A mixes squadron of Sopwith Snipes and Sopwith Camels has been ordered to protect the Balloon at all costs and to drive off and/or destroy any enemy aircraft attempting to interfere with the Balloon mission.

The Germans will send in a number of Fokker D.VII,s aided by a number of Albatross D,5a,s and attempt to shoot down the Balloon or at the very least cause it to be taken down by the British for its own protection.

The Balloon site is surrounded by a number of anti-aircraft defences.

Both sides will have a limited time on site and will have to send half of its force off to rearm and re-fuel every 4 moves (12 manoeuvre cards). They will remain off board for one full move and will then draw an A damage card to return to the air. Zeros, ones and twos are OK but any other result means a technical problem causes one extra move delay before take off.
If the number of aircraft is odd then half will be rounded up to the next whole number.

Generally it is thought that the German force will start the game with at least one aircraft advantage to offset the British AA contingent.

The GM will keep track of moves and will advise each side when to go and re-arm and will supervise the damage card draw.
OK! I play-tested this scenario last evening and it just does not work so I am now very busy doing a re-write which I will post ASAP.
