Hello, I'm looking for the german silent film of 1917 "Luftkämpfe. Ein Tag bei einer Jagdstaffel im Westen" (Dogfights. A day at a fighter squadron in the west). A YouTube search was unsuccessful. The film is about 24 minutes long.

Don't know if this helps, your German is probably greater than mine:

See you on the Dark Side......
In the article from your second link, Neil, it mentions another film DIE ENTDECKUNG DEUTSCHLANDS (1917) [THE DISCOVERY OF GERMANY (1917)]. This is what Google Translate gives as a translation," In order to lighten up these pure industrial scenes with a play action, one staged a grotesque background story in THE DISCOVERY OF GERMANY (1917). Martians land with their ball in Munich and "discover" that Germany is not economically - as the enemy propaganda claims - at the end. The first act about the preparations for the launch on Mars and the arrival of the Martians is handed down in a colorful copy."
A scouting party for 'Tripods and Triplanes'?
A good find', Zoe!
I found this at the Bundesarchiv: "Ein Kampftag in der Champagne 1917"

Maybe there is more in this archive.

Christian (aka Lindinho)
@Neil: Thank you, I knew this links already. Unfortunately there are only text documents related with the film I'm looking for.
@Zoe: I would love to see this science fiction movie, but there's only a summary version in Dutch existing: "Per vliegball naar de aarde" (by flyball to the earth).
@Christian: Danke for the link of the Bundesarchiv. I couldn't find the "Luftkämpfe" film there, but your find is also very interesting!
