Default new 3D resin printer ...for airplanes !

Few weeks ago I received a new 3D printer.
This time it's a resin ones.

After a couple of D&D miniatures, it's time to take off:

Many thanks to UnsungHero for the free real detailed model.

The first supports are'nt ok and I broke a wing removing them, so I retry in another way.

But the broken one could be, as I did with my old Caproni Ca.4, converted in a flying junk:

I'm very happy for the thin details, the resin printer in a new fashinating frontier !

A good start, Dino! Do let us know, from time to time, how your experiments come out. Your failed model made a spectacular piece of 'flying junk'.

Great effort. How much does a model aircraft cost to make?

I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing

    Really cheap, I use this resin: 26 € / 500ml.
The fokker is 3g, but consider 5g with the supports.

I gave my 3D printer to my brother, the best model I could print was a Star Trek Borg spaceship, and a sugar cube!!!

    Hi Dino,

do you still own a Phrozen? What series was it?

I'm seeking a cost-effective 3D printer capable of achieving a resolution of up to 10 microns. I came across an interesting video review of the Phrozen Shuffle and then read this general review. I start wondering about buying the standard Shuffle. In your opinion, is Phrozen a reliable brand? Are its printer worth it?

    Ciao mscott,

I have exactly a Phrozen Shuffle.
But at the moment I'm printing a lot of Dave valves (https://www.isinnova.it/easy-covid19/) and several supports for acetate visor (a version non very far from this one),
because here in Italy (I'm in Lombardy) the situation is still a little worrying.

Obviously I'm printing them with filament printers, I have a old but hardly modified 3DRag and a really big Multoo MT2s (500x500x600). With two semi-indipendent extruders you can print two copy of the piece at the same time.

Resin based printers are amazing, another planet for little models, but a bit too difficult to use without any experience.
In my opinion you can buy a cheap filament based, start having fun, and after a bit move to a resin one.
You will keep the filament because, in my opinion, are complementary technology.

Phrozen Shuffle it's a great choice.
