Default Fokker DR.I with unknown color scheme

I'm realtively new to the hobby, and could make a good second hand deal and could buy some models from the Wings of War range. But one of these models gives riddles to me. Maybe the experts can tell me if this is a custom model or an official model. It was boxed in the WOW box of Kempf's DR1 including the card's from Richthofen DR1.
Which pilot should this be? Jacobs DR 1 has differnt markings and is the only I know which was black.

All official releases can be found in this file: WOW & WOG Complete Listing Jun 2017

This plane isn't in there, IIRC. Also, I can't find anything that looks like it, on-line. It may be completely fictional?

Thank you for the link to the list, it's great! Okay then it is maybe a custom plane by the previous owner :-)

    I think it's fictional.

I think the crowned crest is from Jasta 15, as a very similar one appears on a photograph of the fuselage of a Fokker D.VII in 1918. The pilot of the D.VII is unknown. The decal is present on 'Dom's Decals' Jasta 15 sheet, and is intended to be placed on the blue fuselage of a Jasta 15 machine.

Definitely never seen any sign of a Dr.I in that colour scheme.
There were a few black ones around mainly flown by Jacobs.

Why and when did they change the shape of the cross so many times? Is there a decal available for Jacobs "god of the north wind" maby i convert the model simply to that.

I contacted the previous owner and got an answer yet, he told me it is fictional, it was a present by a friend he played often with. Question solved, thank you for the many information shared with me.

I can see the similarity, but it's blue yellow and skull instead of crown. Thanks to the people here, your information pool is great!

The "Dom's Decals" crowned crest is visible on the photo of my 10 Fokker D.VIIs below (middle plane, extreme right)

Unfortunately, not correct - Wingnut may have used older, incomplete research, but the evidence suggest they are wrong on both counts.........................

The little skull over the crest is wrong; it should be a Crown (see post above)

Also, the pilot is unknown, but was NOT Georg von Hantlemann

Unfortunately, this information, though correct, is not helpful in this case.
The "Berthold Swap" on 20th March 1918 took the pilots of Jasta 15 and switched them into Jasta 18, and the only Jasta 18 Fokker Dr.1 was that of August Raben, with his white Raven symbol.
The pilots of Jasta 18 were switched into Jasta 15, to fly under Berthold, so the mysterious unknown pilot would have been a Jasta 18 member at the time this photo was taken (or joined Jasta 15 later on) ; to the best of my knowledge, Jasta 18 didn't use Dr.1s before the Swap, and Jasta 15 didn't use any after the Swap.

I posted the first image, cropped out of a Wingnuts PDF file, as the closest match I could find on-line for the Dr.1 insignia (admittedly not an exact match). I can't say whether it is related to the Dom's Decals insignia, just the closest I found.

Additionally, Wingnuts has two planes identified as Hantelmann's, including the skull and crossbones, but dated June, 1918. So, both paint schemes are presented. Looking at the B&W image of the Jasta, I'd be hard-pressed to definitively say that the device over the lozenge was a crown or a skull. I certainly am not knowledgeable enough to say that either plane were related to Hantelmann, but based on the research Wingnuts has demonstrated in the past, I'd be inclined to go with their work over anyone else's.

Any other photos of the plane available? Any other reference available?

Tim, your Jasta 15 machines have me about as much as your Jasta 18.
    Magnificent collection.

I do want to do a few of them eventually.

The all-black Fokker Dr1 may have been inspired by the all-black Fokker DVII which flew for the Reds against the Whites in the Russian Civil War circa 1919. This aircraft became a bogeyman to the Whites and may have been flown by a former German pilot, fighting as a mercenary. If the stories are true it scored at least 10 kills before plunging out of a dogfight and exploding on a riverbank. The pilot was presumably killed. His identity is unknown.
