Apparently at 100 million quid a pop we can't afford to put the full complement of 37 Lightnings on board! Cut price, i say that tongue in cheek, defence again?
Nice ship.
Time to build some pocket battleships again...
Voilą le soleil d'Austerlitz!
I wonder if the RN got the price cuts Lockheed/Martin is giving on the various F-35 models?

An F-35B crashed yesterday.
One thing we now know works really well on this...troubled...aircraft is the ejector seat. Heck of a way for testing it, but the only way to be sure.
As a sometime defence industry specialist, I had some very pungent words to say about how the JSF software was being developed, nearly 20 years ago. The Sirius Cybernetics Corporation product line comes to mind.. " their fundamental design flaws are completely hidden by their superficial design flaws. "
There are a whole range of options depending on the particular role. One of those has 48 JSF in the strike role. Some options have more, but are extremely unlikely. The "usual" number will be rather less, but will see a variety of additional types operating from the ship as well. And for previous examples of variability, remember that the CVS standard air group was 5 SHAR and up to 9 Sea King - they ended up operating nearly double that at times (up to 18 SHARs plus helicopters)
Managing the safety and logistics side in support of this ship is something that keeps me and my team busy these days
