Sorry Dave, I will be a no-show I’m afraid as I will be at Hamburg Tactica instead. Could’ve sworn I posted to that effect a couple of months ago.....

Yikes! Thanks for letting me know, Dave!

Owing to a last-minute staffing catastrophe, my hospital department is now very short of personnel on that Saturday, and I am next in line to fill the gap, so the work duty has been assigned to me!

I am in the process of trying to call in favours to get someone else to cover for me - if I can't, then I won't be able to attend.

    Still hopeful, though.

I'm good to go Dave - have sent a pm seperately. If you want any kit, let me know Only have five mats though.

    Dave

I have my 6 x 4 mat that I bought at Colours available if you like. Won’t be needing in on my table (black sheet arrived from Amazon Thursday for that ). It’s in storage but can get it if it would be useful.

    - Neil.

Neil, thanks for the offer buddy, but I have five mats and Dave is going to bring one more. I also have cloths for under the mats, so your 6 x 4 can stay in storage. Assuming Tim cannot make it, I shall bring just about everything I have. Not the awesome collection that is Tim's but it should do the job ok. See you there

Yeah, thanks Neil, we should have it covered. Look forward to seeing you there mate.

    Mike - "you have control".
Thanks for taking this on and supplying the kit. I should make it there but cannot be 100% sure & don't want to take the risk of letting the side down at the last moment - if I limp into the hall on Saturday the problem will be fairly obvious. I have fingers crossed though and looking forward to it.
With our usual set up and, I'm told, the slightly smaller table size we should be good with five mats but I have e-mailed you a response just now along with some suggestions for setup etc.
Hopefully Tim can negotiate his release but the pressure is off and he can have a break from his usual Quartermaster duties.
With some luck & pain killers, see you all there.

Okay, I won’t bother digging the mat out, but I will throw my one case of planes and bits in the boot, “just in case”.

    See people Saturday.

Looking forward to it guys. Hope Tim can still make it. It would be good to meet up again! But I shall take all of my kit regardless and simply use as required.

A splendid record of the day's play Squadron Leader.

Also a thank you to our confederates who obviously aided and abetted as usual.

If anyone is due a minor con medal who does not already have one please tip me the wink and I'll put it in train.
