Spring is in the air

As I took the real Baxter (my Border Collie) for his morning constitutional this morning I could not help but realise that Spring is finally here in South Australia. The birds are nesting and swooping and it was warm enough at 19c to take off my jumper. Also during the walk along the Parafield General Aviation Airport track I could see and hear the roar of helicopters powering up for their morning training sessions. Diamond Katanas were already up and about practicing touch and go landings. What a great day! I still cannot fully grasp how those helicopters can hang in the air 20 feet above the ground like they do.

Bit nippy this morning here in Moruya but Temp now around 2pm a nice 18 degrees C.

Spring has definitely "sprung" as the tiny native Orchids are flowering.

Handing off the warm weather to the antipodean folks now. The first days that feel like fall are starting this weekend in Ohio.

Just remember what they tell all helicopter pilots in training: a helicopter is a collection of 20,000 parts just wanting to fly apart!
