Mutt's Camp 0500 hrs
Capt. Forbes: Have you decided who will be on your wings today?
Lt. Reeves: Yes Sir, I will be taking 2Lts. McGregor and Mullaney (R), while 2Lt. Winklebleck will take 2Lts. Crowley and Jacobs(R).
Capt. Forbes: Good. We have what is supposed to be a routine patrol. 2Lt. Winklebleck you take your group and fly Northeast to Marche and then turn and head for LaRoche.
Lt. Forbes your group will fly to Bastogne and then head North to LaRoche and join up with the 2Lt. and his group and then return here.
Remember gentlemen nothing is routine here so keep your eyes open and don't get complacent out there.
2Lt. Jacobs and 2Lt. Mullaney follow your leader, listen to their advice, and if you are lucky you will return here.
Any last comments or instructions these two will give to you on the way to your planes.
Good Luck out there.

2Lt. Winklebleck: it started out as one of those days as a pilot you wish for. We made our way to Marche and made the turn for LaRoche. So far we had seen nothing but blue skies and a patchwork quilt below us. We closed in on LaRoche and not seeing Lt. Reeves flight we circled the area until I decided to head back home.
As we approached the front we were jumped by a Kette of those new Fokkers. They dropped down on us from our 7 and came in above us.
As they came in 2Lt. Crowley and I turned to the left while 2Lt. Jacobs turned right.
We safely made it past the first pair of Fokkers and I took a shot at the second white Fokker (0) missing while he returned fire doing slight damage to me (1NR)
We made it through the rest of the flight as everyone starrted turning trying to position for a shot.
We all climbed to get up to the opposition as they spread across the sky.
I got in close and echanged shots with a Candy striped Fokker (2GJ,1), yellow dot, causing some damage before my guns went silent. The Fokker hit me as well slightly damaging my control surfaces(2NL,0)
Lt. Reeves: Our group finally caught up to 2Lt. Winklebleck's group. As we approached we saw three Huns between us and them.
2Lt. Winklebleck:The Fokker of Ltn. Muller took a shot at 2Lt. Crowley (2GJ) doing minor damage before his guns went silent.
2Lt. McGregor took a shot at a Candy striped Fokker(1NL) as it returned fire punching a few holes in the fabric of my plane(2).
2Lt. Winklebleck (2)
