    Default Thai Cave Rescue

I guess most of us have been following this. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-07-0...e-blog/9956096

Still 8 boys and their coach trapped in the cave. Prayers and thoughts to the families of the kids and to all who are involved in the rescue.

    Unhappy

Sadly this has been dragging out far too long & already one rescuer has perished.

i hope so. the type of heroism displayed by the guy that ultimately sacrificed his life attempting to rescue the boys should be lauded.

Only five more to get out now thank goodness.
    I have my fingers crossed.

Yes a great relief to one and all.
The diver who lost his life in the rescue attempt did not die in vain.

I was away when this happened but did see it on Thai news. The wife is Thai so I get the story that way. Don't forget that 3 Thai SEAL's and the doctor stayed behind after the last 5 came out. They all came out later so all safe. The Thai SEAL that died is considered a hero for what he did.

It's great that everyone was found and safe, but as a firefighter, I'm always saddened at the loss of a rescuer!!!

The wife has been watching Thai TV (she is Thai) and yesterday there was a formal ceremony for the Thai Seal (RET) that died. It was something to see. I have to see if I can find it and post it.
