Great pictures, Peter! Your coverage of the games is wonderful - and it's nice to see the participants, too That fellow talking to BBSuds in your first pic is Leland - he was so taken by the WWI game that he bought the RAP, both duel packs, and 6 other single planes for mid to late war action. He came back through the weekend to play and talk WWI - quite the excited, lovely little man he was!

So glad you made it back safely to the East Coast.

    Always the best,
    Matt

It was an incredible week of friends and gaming. I can't recommend enough that everyone try to attend Origins at least once.

Props purchased from the Aerodrome Store for my AIM planes. As props break off my ARES planes they get a spinning prop too.

Yes, Leland was in many of our games. He and many other newcomers bought into the game. Several times I was asked to recommend what planes to purchase to fill out an initial set of opposing planes. I think we had a bumper crop of converts this year.

I have some 1/700 model ships but just couldn't get to them this spring. Soon...

My really nice camera is on it's last legs so I used my IPOD, not the best quality but better than nothing. Lots of action to take photos of! I took more while running games than while playing. Don't know how I did that?

I was hoping to have Onkel on my side but Uncle appeared to help the GM and in the last game gunned me down.

Thanks Sven. Yes. I had a car load of gaming stuff. Luckily I got to use most of my WWI planes in both games so didn't need to bring as many as for WW2. Thanks to Karl and Phil for supplying Gothas so I could run the Night Over London game.

Ah, the Tower Brigde, that goes back a couple of years. I ran a game with a Zeppelin attack on London. My story line was the Kaiser's dachshunds were out to get the Queens corgis. The raid was set to get the corgis when they were at the doggie spa being groomed in a shop in the tower. Luckily the Zep was brought down 1/4" short of the Tower Bridge. While I was going on about the corgis having insulted the dachshunds, a woman walked through the gaming area right next to me with a corgi on a leash! No corgis were harmed this time around.

Yes, that is my excuse for not shooting Uncle down, we need him for OTT! Otherwise I surely would have bested him when given the chance.

Excellent pictures! I didn't get a chance to play any games, but it was fun to stop by and "put faces with names". I was impressed with the variety and creativity in the scenarios.

Too bad you didn't fly in any of the multitude of games. I'm glad you stopped by, one more face to a name.

Great pics of the games and I know they were great games since I have played in a few of them. Crossed the Tappan Zee many time going from Mass to NJ. Much easier then running down to NYC.

Nice to see familiar faces. It really looks you had a great time. Pity I've missed Crashx, but there will be chance in future.
I also like photos from your drive - how much time it takes from your new home in deep forests?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep Saturday afternoon open. I've not yet played Sails so will have to give it a try.

We plan on being there for the whole con this time. I'm thinking Sat night for Tigers over Burma. WW1 - Austrian vs Italian, British vs Germans on the channel coast, maybe another WW2...Midway?

With the exception of the Sails of Glory game -- I'm all yours !!! (I know, you are asking yourself what you did wrong to deserve that...). BTW -- I REALLY like Sails of Glory -- it is a variation of the Wings movement system allowing for wind direction -- its a lot of fun -- glad you're thinking of giving it a try.
