Thread: Non Historical planes

    Default Non Historical planes

SO...was wondering if there were sheets for non historical aircraft.

One I am looking for is a B 17 E or F I think. Before the chin turret. Plane is the Piccadilly Lily from 12 o'clock high. As far as I have seen so far it had the red triangel with the A on the tail and the serial number 8719 I think. and then the nose art and name. I know they used more then one plane and loads of war footage so could be difficult to nail down.

Then there is Pappy's Corsair from Baa Baa Black Sheep and the rest of VMF 214 from the TV series.

I am sure there are more out there.Attachment 249090

By sheets, do you mean pre-printed stickers for decorating AIM type planes?

Not stickers, but decals. Different items.

You can ask Kevin at Miscellaneous Miniatures. I'm going to put a request in for BGiF logos for Ohio Squadron repaints

I can add them to the list. They'll be a while coming though, possibly months. Boyington's Corsair and unit are already on the list. Shortlist includes several sets of 1/600 decals, two non-aviation decals commissions, decals for two painting commissions, a couple dozen 1/200 aircraft and squadrons, and a half dozen 1/300 scale modern aviation requests.

Kevin, you don't happen to have the decals for the WWI Bavarian flag aircraft mentioned in a previous thread do you?

I don't believe I do, can you point me to the thread so I can confirm it?

No hurry, still in the first season of the show (watch a few episodes on you tube every night). Still trying to figure out if I can pin down the markings a bit more on the Lily. The show had one non flying B17 to work with and taxi around if wiki is correct. The Right rear body also had WW on it in a lot of early shots but do not think that was supposed to be the command plane.
