Quite enjoyed going to the British Pub in Dayton to watch the football, teasing them I was The British Pub Inspector for the USA then having to tell them that the union flag they'd had painted on their ceiling was wrong - which it was !

Here's a couple of shots from Jims show opener Fokker Fodder - apologies for the quality

There's Jim in the red shirt, Phil (MilColl73) reaching into the table, a keen interest being taken by Durnell who got well into the game, and our Aussie visitor Graeme Dandy on the left.

Yeah, I did wonder if it was the influence of the Pride parade but was assured it was marked that way because it was a double of the model !

Wednesday I was up with '95 Sqn Play Trains' (or 95 Sqn Pay Rains as it appeared in the book !), in spite of this i was pleased to find the game was sold out, I had twelve players at least half of whom were newbies.
I had obtained a third Caproni at Salute & added it to the strength of 95 Sqn, escorted by 3 USAS N.28's they went up against 9 Albatros D.Va. (I could have given them Fokker D.VII's but wanted to make it a challenge)
I didn't take many pics as I was running this game solo which kept me busy tracking damage etc but these shots I did get will give you a feel for how it went.

Shaky picture but you can make out the start positions - 95 in a staggered formation with escorts - Albatrii of Jasta 5 in a gaggle flying across the end of the board

No 2 was dropped before it could turn for the target shortly after this - Mark, one of our old hands took it out after stalking it down the table - killing the rear gunner helped that cause, sadly no picture.
The final machine, no.1, made it to bomb release and struck the rail yard but was immediately taken out by the pursuing pack, Jo claiming the kill, so a minor yet Pyrrhic victory for 95 Sqn.

It went pretty much to plan and no Albatrii were harmed during the playing of this game - hopefully all the players enjoyed the challenge.

Fun to play - the Tripods are hard to get decent shots on as they manoeuvre fairly quickly and their shields are hard to get past - more practice needed by this human !

Your coverage of events and in-betweens throughout the convention was stellar, Dave! So many great game shots as well as convention 'flavor' shots...not to mention off-site pics. Between you and Phil, you've done BGiF at Origins proud!

You probably know how much we miss you already - as Ken has said elsewhere, you're a Big Girls in Fronter now......and you always will be

Thanks again for favoring us with your presence as LLer this Origins.

    Always the best,
    Matt

Looks like I missed all the fun, but you guys took real good care of em. Sure would have liked to make the range day though, But would have been an issue taking a few toys out of state. Some day may be able to make it.

Keep up the good work guys.

Given that I'm a bit "bigger in front" than I'd like to be (waist level), then I'll stick to Gamers.
