Well that sucks, especially on Memorial Day weekend.
Surely someone is going to step up and sort the problem out ? Mr Trump perhaps

Coming down is the hardest thing
It sounds like a serious problem. I hope that they will find a way to repair it.
Thats really a shame, such bad timing for Memorial weekend. Hope they can get it repaired quickly.
Wonder if all the shake and bake they have going on on the big isle has something to do with it?
thats too bad. hope they get it back open soon. though i must say, i hope they replace the memorial thats there. ive always found it hideous.
Sad news indeed.
Hopefully they will find a suitable repair.
Believe it or not, the closure happened the day before I got there this May. Extremely frustrating to say the least.
They took us out on a boat around the memorial, but the sea was so choppy, you couldn't really see the wreck.
The air museum was good, though....
That was tough luck Mike after going all that way.
Although I can't see the original because I do not enable cookies for Yahoo, I empathize with those of you who have posted about this, and add my own wishes to a rapid solution to the problem. Those servicemen, women and civilians deserve the respect of us all.

Just saw this and yes a shame that there is damage. I checked to see when the memorial was build and do you realize that it is 56 years old. Between the weather, small quakes, being in water and the pounding of boats docking there for 56 years you might expect some damage after all this time. Hope they get it fixed ASAP.
