    Default Boom. KA-Boom. CRACK . . .

In the Se5a, five missions, 4 kills. . .BOOM!
    That did not go well.
    In a Camel and KA-BOOM!
Well, that was unexpected. But surely it cannot happen again.
It can and stop calling me Shirley. . . Crack and down for the third time.
So I get out the Brand New SPAD I just bought, I mean could the bad luck have possibly transfered to a new plane?
Oh yes it could. . . .and to further add insult, the explosion was from a B deck!!!
Maybe I should just stick to Malifaux, this Explosion stuff is getting bad!!

That's why the explosion card is now called "The Mac Card".

And that's why I don't use the explosion. No fun.

You are wrong Aero, it is still a fun game to me, taking out the explosion cards, even though I seem to have a certain skill at drawing them, would make the game less fun and put in a less than historic/ video game "infinite lives" quality to it.
These aircraft were not the most hardy of machines, and the explosion card represents that 'never being sure' aspect I find appealing. . .even though four times in a row is a new personal best. . .

I agree Mac. I also have had my run of bad luck with the explosion card, one night it was 4 times all within the first 3 turns of each game. However, I love that threat of the instant kill, it adds suspense.

I think the rest of the league should take bets on which turn you'll drawn the explosion card. That would add even more suspense.

Good Idea! Then the next time we have pot luck we could take that money and buy pizza!
Being the first out, I could then graze on it while the rest of you play!

Finally! A reason to look forward to the explosion!

Don, I believe in balance. And, after this bad run of luck, I would be willing to bet that you will have a run of very good luck. Those guys better be watching their sixes!!!

Well, this run of bad luck started over a year ago. . .

Hmmm!!? That does paint a grim picture. You may have it right, dive into the pizza first.

We played in the Krystal Keep (Dayton, Ohio) tournament on Wednesday evening. At our table, during the first round of the competition, the first shot fired saw the receiving player draw the big Kaboom! Sometimes it is just not your day... unfortunately there was no pizza available...

Yes. It is sad, but pizza makes it better. Pizza makes everything better. No Pizza at the last session. . . I bet I know Wayne's inventory (TC Paintball, where we play )better than he does! Took the "tour" , well, FOUR times!

Yes, Pizza makes everything better, even explosions,or bullets to the forehead, flaming comets to earth, structure failure, or being tossed out with seat belt failure. . .any of LGKR's many evil ways to "explode"!

I get annoyed at that card. I use chips in a bag, and that one seems to have a certain attraction to my fingers in solo games. But only when drawing for the British.
Though I agree, the game wouldn't be the same without it.

Exactly the opposite down here: One shot -- BOOM; "well, that makes sense -- twenty minutes set-up for ten seconds of gameplay".

Either play without the boom card or play that you draw two damage cards to replace the boom card.

Alternately, you could download and print up some Critical Hit cards to break down the chances of murphy's striking you so badly...
