Thread: More time for the paintbrush !!!

Default More time for the paintbrush !!!

Have had some interesting times at work recently. I am delighted to say that we have had a major restructure and as a result of this my current role ceases to exist. I was in the selection pool for three new roles but thanks to some skilful negotiation and some great support I have managed to dodge all of those with the end result that I will be taking early retirement on 5th July. So I get to pack in work altogether just in time for the summer - safe to say I can't wait (I have worked out that as of Monday I have 67 working days left).

Talk about a lifestyle change !!!!

Now where did I put my paintbrushes...

Chris, congrats to you my friend! I hope this allows you family time and of course, lots and lots of time with your Wings of Glory toys!!!

    You lucky, lucky Bar-Steward!

There's not a day goes by that I don't think about early retirement, but I'm still too far off that target.

I hope you get a nice Redundancy wedge to go with your new-found time off...............

I look forward to all your forthcoming repaints!

Hi Chris, if your retirement turns out like mine (2008- Bloody Hell 10 years already!) you will wonder how you ever found the time to go to work. The other plus for me is that I haven't had a migraine since I retired. Now what does that tell you?
Have a good one my friend.

Earliest for me is next year, but I will likely keep going for three more.

Congrats Chris! Now the time has come for you to challenge Tim in the paintjob.
You will definitely need some new XL-size metal suitcaises for your new minis; Tim will surely link you to the manufacturer.

I think I was 55 once but a long, long time ago! 20 years I think but the memory is not what it used to be. ( As anyone who has gamed with me will tell you. What? You meen I'm supposed to remember the rules?)

Congrats on the upcoming retirement. Well done being deemed redundant. Hope SWMBO doesn't come up with the same appraisal.
