    Default Newbie from Honolulu, Hawaii

    Aloha Comrades,
I'm just beginning in WOW / WOG WWI. I have not flown any missions, yet. Basically, I am more of a modeler. I checked out the gimbal video and thought it was a great idea for that extra flight realism. I'm preparing to custom paint my first aircraft; a Fokker DR.I flown by Lt. Werner Voss. 1/144 scale decals has been ordered off eBay. The base aircraft that I will be using is the Red Baron's Triplane. Wish me luck!

Glad you've found your way here, Cyrus! Good luck with your repaint - Voss's triplane is one of my favorites, although I haven't tried making it myself yet.

You will find lots of friendly folks here on the Forum - lots of great info and ideas, too. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have

    All the best,
    Matt

    Happy Flying!

Mahalo to everybody in welcoming a new recruit! For sure, I will post Voss's triplane when done. I just have to figure on the a paint scheme to use. I think I'll go with the green cowling...shows off the Kaiser's mustache and eyes better. I noticed people have been streaking the green in a slight diagonal pattern. I had thought the streaking was more linear...any thoughts?
