    Default All WWI US aircraft

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but how many US aircraft are there? I mean US pilots and their variations? I am trying to collect them all, and currently have 3 variations of the Nieuport 28, a Spad XII, a Spad XIII, and an Airco DH4. Am I missing any others? Thanks for the help!

USAS flew what you listed and SPAD VII, Salmson A2A, Breguet BR 14, SPAD XI, SPAD XVI. Early they has some Dorand ARs but I'm not 100% sure if they only trained or actually flew missions in them. Flying as a US squadron with the British was I think the 17th sq. filled out with Sopwith Camels.

I'm sure if there are any others someone should fill out the list.

I think he is referring to actual models within Wings of Glory/War that have been produced, and not all those that historically existed.

In addition to what you have listed,
Lufbery's Nieuport 17 - French Lafayette Esq. markings
Havlind's Macchi M5 - USN pilot but Italian markings
La Guardia's Caproni Ca3 - USA pilot but Italian markings

Out of print old Nexus aircraft

    Baldwin's SE5a
    96th Aero Sqn - Breguet Br14

    Hope this helps

Teaticket: any reading recommendations? That info is helpful, considering I knew a good deal about the ground war, but very little about air combat.

Old guy: Then I need to gather those planes up! Thanks for the list

Sorry I didn't think about the question more closely. I would have seen that you wanted available planes.

For info on books here on the Aerodrome go to Forum/Hobby Room/Book Reviews. Lots of great book reviews/info there.
