    Default The Pale Blue Dot

I found this an interesting read and thought I would share it with you...

Yes very thought provoking and my first thought is that we are hell bent on changing it to little brown dot with no survivors. Sad isn't it?

Great piece, thanks Bill. Good to keep it all in perspective. If we would all realize this we could avoid becoming the little brown dot.

Funny, I am reading this book of Carl Sagan by now. The story of his grandpa's narrow view of the world comparing to his is simply amazing. Highly recommended for those interested in the skies above and beyond.

the cosmos is a large lonely place. the scale of our pale blue little dust mote in the vast emptiness should also shrink our differences to the insignificance they deserve. perhaps one day it will.

It is certainly thought provoking. There is something which makes us significant but I am not allowed to mention it here.

Sagan takes us for an exciting trip. One of the most spectacular is to see Earth from the view of an alien ship approaching Earth and the Aliens zooming in on our planet. Who, or rather what, lives on it, What is the dominant species?
I wonder if you guys could answer that question from an alien point of view? C'mon!
