On Feb. 10 at Epic Loot in Dayton we had a couple of good brisk games. We had our crew made up of Ray Garbee, Bill Weber, Sean Weber, Thomas Coon, Jay Croft, Joe Cairo, Harry Materne, and I (Jim O'Neil). Our first game involved four Shapeway Caudron G.6s heading out over the trenches to photograph a German position. They were escorted by five repainted Baraccas that were done up as the famed Escadrille 3 Les Cigognes. They were facing some repainted Are Albatros D.IIIs wearing the colors of Jasta 5. As you can see from the picture the action was brisk from the start. Fire markers sprouted up everywhere especial on the Caudron G6s. The left side of the French wing just disappeared in the fire of the Albatross. The right wing pushed on and was able to get close to the objective before they were all taken down. There was much rejoicing in Jasta 5s mess that night.
