Thread: G'day from Melbourne

    Default G'day from Melbourne

    G'day all.

I'm new to the forum and new to Wings of Glory and wanted to advertise a small group of new players. We have started meeting at Kayjays Hobbies in Footscray, so far just playing WWII. We are happy to welcome any new comers especially being new comers ourselves!

In our last meet we used the points value chart. Worked well and seemed to produce balanced games. Has anyone used this for a tournament? It appears to be perfect for this. It's my goal to run a friendly tournament in Melbourne later in the year.

Hi Mick, welcome to the forum. I wish you all the best for your tournament - with quite a few players in Melbourne you should have no problems recruiting participants.

Last year I compiled a list of Australian gaming conventions here - https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sh...nventions-List, might give you a few options to run games in a public space.

Hi Mick. I have participated in points system games in WWI genre and they seem to work. If your tournament later in the year coincides with the Crows playing in Melbourne I might be intetested in your tournament too.

    G'day.
It looks like a group from down your way might be coming up to Canberra for Wintercon, to play a WWII demo/participation game.
You'd certainly be welcome. Get enough together, and it might be worthwhile hiring a microbus, though VicRail fares are quite inexpensive.
