Thread: Passing of a Friend bumblie3

Default Passing of a Friend bumblie3

On January 25 John Bethell passed away. We joined the Aerodrome a week apart in 2010. The long running Flying Penguin thread has many of his unique posts throughout. I never had the pleasure of meeting John, our friendship was made here. We exchanged bad jokes and our favorite online greeting cards frequently. I will miss him!

I raise a glass to John!

I'm sorry to hear of his passing, Richard! I'm glad you got to know one another here on the Forum - it's one of the enduring attractions of this format of interaction. I have 'made' some lovely friendships here, some of which have become actual face-to-face meetings.

    Here's to John

    All the best,
    Matt

As all have stated sorry to hear of his passing. You get to know people here and sometimes meet them so it hard when you lose a friend. Blue skies John.

There just have been way too many death issues the past couple of years.

    Fly high, John.

Sorry to hear about the loss of a member of this group and especially one who you became good friends with.
I'm sure he is enjoying flying in clear skies.

    RIP.

I just got done reading 18 pages of penguin, cow, and duck jokes. Some of them had the family in stitches and started a text chain of animal jokes. Thanks...

RIP John. It's hard for you to see a friend go, but to be friends until their final days is still a lovely thing.

I PM'd Richard asking if he would like to write an Obituary for "the Hall".
