I've finally gotten around to reading Fighter Pilot by "McScotch" (Lt. William MacLanachan). Almost done, though, and The Advance from Mons 1914 by Walter Bloem is on deck.
I'm tackling that book which Zoe 'recommended' by the guy who's a regular on the Aerodrome - The Kaiser's Yanks, along with the fourth book in the Otto Prohaska series, as well as rereading The Last of the Mohicans. I always have several going at the same time...
All the best,
Matt
Currently reading Theodore Roosevelt's The Rough Riders and really loving it -- its like he's talking to you through time.
I'm currently into The Flying Tiger, the true story of General Claire Chennault and the US 14th Air Force. Bill, this is because of you!

Currently reading Day of Battle from Rick Atkinson's WW2 trilogy. His three books and the Lord of the Rings trilogy are books that I end up rereading somewhat regularly and always seem to find something new.
Just chewing through a odd stack of Scifi/Fantasy stacked near the bed. with the odd Cussler thrown in. Truly thinking on dragging out my copy of the Peoples war book and atlas William Bishop signed edition to go over the pics from WWI printed in the 20's. First half the book is on the first World war and the second is a 1920s vintage world atlas..that is fun to look at in it's own right. A bit beat up but had it since I grabbed it from my dad in the 60's as a kid.
I am currently reading "Fighters' by Bill Gunston and 'Rolling Thunder' by Mark Berent.
Im Schatten der Siege - a Book about a Consulting Surgeon at the Eastern Front WW2
Die Hexenholzkrone - Tad Williams newest Fantasy Book series
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Currently reading ‘The Millionaires’ Squadron’ about 601 Squadron RAF, nearly done with Osprey’s ‘Allied Jet Killers of WW2’, and then on to ‘Phantom’ by Jo Nesbo.

If you throw in a paint set do they come out pre painted?
Currently reading "Darwin Spitfires" & "Caught dead in Wyoming" book 3 of which is a great series.
Have "Aintree down Under" the story of Warwick Farm & the Golden years of Motor Racing in Australia ( Tasman Series etc) on the shelf waiting for its turn!
im reading "home before the leaves fall. a new history of the german invasion of 1914." by ian senior. interesting but kind of a slow read.
I'm thinking starting pre-Flying Tigers. I want to begin when Chennault took over training for the Chinese, to the AVG Flying Tigers and then on with the 14th AF. My thought is that each con I run games at will have a theme campaign. I have to think about which campaigns I can run depending on which cons I can consistently attend. Example might be at Havoc I run a BoB campaign, so every year I'll put on a BoB game keeping track of the pilots that flew in previous BoB games. I have to think more about this.
Yeah. Not there yet, as I understand 3D printing.
It is the print material that does the color on output. The chapter uses an output material called 'Aluminum' (IIRC), which could look OK as a base for NMF, if it isn't too rough. I'm looking at printing out coins in 'gold' material, for looks, although the weight will be significantly less than metal.

Waiting on a book about the Halifax disaster during WWI. Went there on a cruise a few years ago so it sounds interesting. Last ones I did read were the series by Scott Washburn "The Great Martian War". His first book came out about the time the game All Quiet on the Martin Front came out. For those of you who go to the HMGS East cons he is the person that has the Paper Terrain.
Is that the one by Mark Lee Gardener? Im reading that one now. Great book.
