So, although Tripods & Triplanes (3&3) is almost a new game, sort of, it might need a home for those interested in developing scenarios, showing off paint jobs, making terrain and ground targets (or troops/vehicles), etc...

Probably a separate section could be adviseable, not to mix the historical stuff with the Sci-Fi one that could only interest part of the readers.
I'd avoid a new separated www.triplaneandtripodswingsofglorymeetsWells.org site anyway, since all the WW1 Wings of Glory stuff is useable in the new game (actualy more an add on to Wings of Glory that a brand new one) and all that concerns WW1 Wings of Glory is also interesting to 3&3 players.
Maybe it needs to be a Sci-Fi / Fantasy section rather than an exclusive Tripods one that could cater for all the oddities that can utilise Wings - King Kong, for instance, dragons & more recently Matt's Cthulhu.

I second Andrea's opinion. A separate section just for this expansion would be very welcome. Mixing it with other fan made variants would decrease it's value and potential, IMHO.

With the latest comment post by Ares about possible new products, a SciFi/Fantasy section would work really well. If Ares goes with the WGS+UFOs idea, then the new section should be 'SciFi/Fantasy/Weird Stuff'. We already have threads that could be transfered into this section, considering Red Sleigh Down, King Kong, and that new tear in the fabric of space/time/dimensions that is Cthulhu.
PS: Just in time for Christmas: Jingle Bells, Machine Gun Shells... Or Red Sleigh Down?

What about a sci fi section split into 2 sub sections Tripods and others

I'm good with this idea too; I don't think a split between T&T and others is necessary.

Good to see this new section to keep others happy. Separates history from the SIFI part of the game. Last year I did some repaints for a friend that plays AQMF. They were my idea of US planes.
