A single-seat Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter bomber assisted by Sopwith Triplanes had to bomb the port. A Roland C.II assisted an Albatros D,III and The Red Baron in his Fokker Dr.1 had to bomb the town.
Both bombers headed for opposition territory. The Sopwith Triplanes moved to intercept the Germans.
Amazingly, no-one tried to intercept the Strutter bomber until it was too late.
The black Albatros D.III and the Sopwith Triplane duelled.
With a Sopwith Triplane covering his flank, the Strutter bomber began his bomb run. The Roland hurried back to try to intercept. He fired at the Triplane but his gun jammed.
The Red Baron moved in to assist the black Albatros.
