I'll be there on the Saturday, all day. Not sure on time of arrival as travelling from Chippenham and there are road works on the way (or were last weekend). Shall try to make it for 9.00 a.m.
    Location same as previous years.
????? Don't worry, shall look it up on the web

I'm in, both days, all day - this is a "local" for me!

WW1 for preference, but can make "Luftflotte Helmut" available for WW2 if needed.
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

Flash and I are looking to attend on one of the days. If Saturday is to be WW1 then that's the one for us. Just need confirmation from Dave.

    Greetings

I got in a game yesterday at Warfare - my DH scout got blown up by the rear gunner as I took down the German 2-seater!

    Good fun.

Glad you had a good game Edward, sorry we didn't get to talk - I was attached to the camera in your first shot !
Hopefully we will catch up somewhere else soon. Beachhead at Bournemouth will be my next one.

Default Flash Photos - Warfare 2017

As mentioned before there were nine of us reporting for duty on the Saturday, me, Andy (Ajay), Tim (Flying Helmut), Chris (Boney10), Steve (Guntruck), Mike (Mikeemagnus), DM (Dave Manley), Si (Maverick), Nige (Bogue).
First mission was a double balloon busting mission with four Huns defending two balloons against three or four Tommy's. I broke out my captured SPAD VII & Ajay took an Alb D.I supplied by Tim.

Had fun chasing Nige in his Nieuport and Oliver (a regular returnee player) across the table pumping shots into each

(sorry for the blurry snapshot )

All was going beautifully, other than Nige set the balloon on fire and I'd just got onto Oliver at close range when Nige deep sideslipped right and slammed into me and.... BOOM !
At least his damage also took him down.

Oliver cracked on and joined the fight on the second balloon - a small miscalculation resulted in him colliding with it and that was game over for him.

A second game kicked off with Ajay flying a Harry Tate with a mission to bomb a factory - Chris, on the other side of the table flew an Alb C.III with a similar mission that Edward opposed - I took some heat from DM during the opening moves

Before I managed to get into Ajays blindspot and knock him down

(Bottom row +1 & he was a flamer with second smoke !)

Nige, having switched sides, picked off Ajay's escort in the same turn

To keep the game rolling Ajay respawned and attacked once more - this time I missed the blindspot and he avenged his earlier loss but my final burst set him on fire

This helped in his eventual destruction by Nige but only after he'd made his bombing run

He's gonna kill me for this but Mike's contemplating a helmet purchase so I got him to try mine on for size...

Looking good fella - get one, you know you want to !

A fun day of action, thanks to all who took part & especially to Tim for letting us play with his toys

I didn't spend much at the show but picked up a LAV 25 (with a 90mm gun turret) and a couple of 20mm figures made for me by Rolf (of RH models aka Liberation miniatures) of Marines sporting M.32 grenade launchers, as well as my raffle prize from Doncaster - a Sopwith Cuckoo from Chris. I also dropped off the balloon Control box to Chris and sold a Rumpler CIV to Ajay so all in all a good day.

Can I just say thanks to the chaps who were there Saturday, really nice to meet up with you all and my Daughter (Heidi) loved the games she had and was made up to walk away with 2 kills and the Iron Cross sticker.

I forgot to ask where can I get those neoprene printed mats as well as the card deck etc?

Good to see you Chris glad you & Heidi had so much fun.
The mats you might have to hunt for, last I was in there Entoyment in Poole had a couple in stock,
Green Knight Games may have them still too. Worth a search of t'internet for.
WW1 Rules and Accessories Pack contains all you need card wise - they may be sourced in a similar way.
Happy hunting & hope to see you both at another show.

Another place to look for mats and other WoG material at reasonable prices is GamesLore: www.gameslore.com.

It is not compulsory - Albert Ball went bareheaded after all - but Evil Bay should provide if you want them... or one for Santa's list !

Looks like great fun, can't believe I missed it (I was coming but then rashly decided to spend friday in A&E getting very worried looks from medical staff). Thank you chaps for your hard work promoting wings.

Couldn't resist the temptation Dave! Goggles on their way via Chinapost (cost £2.39 incl postage). The helmet was a bit more expensive but at least I had a choice of sizes

Looks like another great day of flying.
As I have said before I envy your ability to get together so often over there.
