Thread: 1 200 Kaidai-type submarine Pen

    Default 1 200 Kaidai-type submarine Pen

I have been gearing up for this one and got a little nudge from a friend:

I hope to create the sub in 3 images; surfaced, Para-scope depth. and fully submerged (but perceivable at altitude).

Here we go, wish me luck this one has some wacky lines...

If you download/print the images from the world war II file section, they are (or will be in this case GW) scaled already.
Just print the full page without altering the aspect ratio of the page.
I use Windows, so when the print dialog comes up, I uncheck fit to page.

    You have a choice of 1/200, 1/400, 1/800, or 1/1600 scale...

I use all 4 scales interchangeable to denote altitude.

    Update:

I am looking at 4 images, surfaced, para scope depth, submerged level 1, and submerged level 2.
Each image will get greyer, darker, and more obscure.
    I welcome any ideas though...

Final image with any ideas welcome:

This is the final image and depth images... Surfaced, Periscope depth/Submerged level 1, Submerged level 2, and Submerged level 3...

I hope to put together some depth charge rules if Neil or Ares don't beat me to it... Hint... Hint... Hint...

The next step is to scale these to printer paper size in 1/200, 1/400, 1/800, and 1/1600 scale.

Let me know if you see anything needing fixin...

That would be so cool having multiple aircraft running depth charge ordnance under each wing.

I'm guessing one could use standard bombing rules but with the depth charges set for Depth 1, 2 or 3.

The pilot would have to manage what depth his charges are pre set (secretly) to and try to catch the sub on target at the correct depth.

In the meantime the sub would be closing in on the fleet with torp tubes flooded and ready.

Hey, I'm in Tampa... You are just across the pond from me.
