The R.E.8 continued to turn left and the Albatros moved straight ahead.
The R.E.8 side-slipped and its observer was able to fire at the Albatros.
The planes continued circling.

And he left the crowd wanting more!
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Then Naharaht made what in retrospect seems like a tactical error. Remembering his photographic mission, he made a break towards the port.
Both German planes turned to pursue the R.E.8.
The R.E.8 and the new Albatros exchanged fire.

Naharaht reached the edge of the port.
The flames on JohnBiggles Albatros went out. Then just as the R.E.8 crew were about to take the photograph, the green and yellow Albatros fired.
With drastic results for Naharaht's R.E.8. but the battle had not finished.

JohnBiggles was shot down.
The Pup turned to face the final Albatros, but a second Sopwith Pup appeared on the scene.
The Albatros was able to get in the first shot.

Can't see these last pictures Dave I'm afraid.

I have been experiencing increasing difficulty uploading photographs from my computer into these reports, Rob. It was o.k. at first and then I had to switch to 'Basic Uploader' to load only one photograph at a time. Now the photographs are disappearing from where I put them between comments, leaving only the reference number, and I have to go back and retrieve them as a block using 'Manage Attachments'.
Both combatants flew past each other. Meanwhile the second Pup drew closer and an Albatros C.III appeared on the scene.
The first Pup performed an Immelmann turn whilst the Albatros D.II turned behind its stable mate, which had turned to face the second Pup. However a third Pup had appeared.
Whilst the first Pup pursued the Albatros D.II the other two moved in to attack the two-seater.

After the exchange of fire with the Albatros C.III, the second Pup was smoking. The Albatros D.II turned to attack it but the first Pup turned to attack him. The third Pup was approaching the two-seater from behind.
The Albatros D.II slipped past the two Pups to assist the two-seater.
The Albatros D.II was almost 'sandwiched' between two Pups.

Hmm, that's a pickle David, I use Chrome and have had some issues uploading too but they seem to be OK now.
When you open Manage Attachments do you get two icons on the top line beside the page address - a jigsaw piece and a shield with red check boxes and a cross ? If you hover over the jigsaw it is the Adobe Flash Player & a puw says: 'plug-ins were blocked on this page'
If you click on it there is an option to 'Run all plug-ins this time', click on that and the manage attachments seems to work as it used to.
Another question is - are you opening a new manage attachments for each post you create, if you work off the original one you opened on the first post that may show there should be an attachment but not post it in subsequent ones..?
I'm seeing a pattern in your postings that the first of the batch is OK but the subsequent ones are not.
When you go back to edit your posts you should be able to Go Advanced and via the manager 'Insert in-line' the pics where you want them by selecting the individual images again.
This may or may not help you ! I hope it does though.

The Albatros C.III turned left. Gunfire from one of the Pups had set the Albatros D.II alight. Then they collided. The other two Pups looked like they would also collide.
The Albatros C.III headed towards two of the Pups, firing at one.
The two-seater shot down the smoking Pup. Another Pup shot at the burning Albatros D.II.
These look fine at the moment.

The Albatros C.III turned to the right and its observer got in a shot on a Pup. Its pilot squeezed in a shot at the other Pup, setting it on fire.
The burning Albatros D.II went down.
The Albatros C.II turned to try and attack the burning Pup, which also turned to try to attack the Albatros.
The Albatros passed the Pup presenting an opportunity to its observer.
The observer's shot was successful and the burning Pup was eliminated.

The Pup Immelmann turned and the Albatros turned right.
As the Albatros closed on the Pup, its pilot fired his machine gun but it jammed.
The Pup flew straight on but the Albatros turned right and its observer fired at the Pup, setting it on fire.
Both planes turned to the right.
The planes continued to circle.

The Pup made a sharp right turn to head towards the Albatros.
A collision nearly occurred.
The Pup flew straight on and the Albatros turned right giving its observer a shot.
The planes turned onto parallel courses but the Albatros' observer was still able to fire again at the Pup.
The planes turned towards each other and flew past each other. The Albatros' observer fired again and the Pup went down in flames.
A second victory for the Central Powers.

Thanks David. Nice AAR and great pics.
Super climax to the AAR Dave.
Thanks for bringing it to those of us who were not there.
