Well Skysters the fleet is in! Where did we leave off on Saturday? Oh yes! Prototype primed:
Prototype painted:
At this time I had to make some decisions, mounting posts, baskets, rigging etc. Good time to work the real job while the mind ponders the options.
New cones and eggs were discovered neglected at the local Michael's Craft store. They even had better shaped cones that took a lot less fussing with!
More "ears" were needed
The yet hatched egglets were filled and sanded this time before the fins were added-a big help!
Friends! Romans! Countrypeople! Lend me your ears! On with the ears!
Mounting pegs were cut from 5/16" dowel, one end drilled for the post wire and the other sharpened in a pencil sharpener!
Pilot holes located and drilled, glue added and the peg inserted
Test mounted for the right angle of incidence
Baskets were fabricated of bass wood, drilled for anchor wires, stained and painted. The wires added and the baskets mounted with wire struts
French Blue
Camo Green
Tan
And of course "Danger" Black!
The Avorio Prassone has a distinctive shape, Hunter thinks it looks like an A Bomb!
Definitely a fun looking gaggle!
Easy to duplicate lines are evident here, give one try! One could also use a plastic Easter egg and a paper cone . . .
Fokker eye view!
Guess I am feeling better after all!
Now where are those HP V-1500 drawings? Clipper catching up!
