Thread: Personal thank you

    Default Personal thank you

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyeone who attended, put on games and made Doncaster 2017 a resounding success.

I would also personally like to thank everyone for giving me the support I needed and understanding my lack of commitment at times throughout the weekend and my abscence from mid-afternoon on Saturday. Perhaps next year I will get China 1938 onto a table after the last 2 previously failed attempts.

Sterling work was carried out behind the scenes by the committee to maintain the success of the weekend. (Boney10, Hedeby, Maverick & Tim).

Again a big thank you to Tim (Flying Helmut) for making the Ace of Aces a resounding success, without you it would not happen.

I do hope that after Christmas I will be fit enough to commit myself to more shows and I do hope to be at Vapnartak, York, in February.

Can I echo Neil's comments above by thanking the committee and all the attendees for making the weekend so special.
The only problem is that we now have to wait a whole year before we can do it again.
On the other hand I've got prague to look forward to next April.

Well done the committee for putting it all together for our enjoyment.
Now all you have to do is sort the Cheswold out so they don't run out of draught ale on Friday night next year!
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!

The Aerodrome would not function without the commitment of many

The weekend was a great reward by seeing so many people attending

Hope that we can encourage more of the southern wing crews to attend

swelling the numbers to even greater numbers.

It was a great team effort that resulted in a great three days.

And don't forget, the participation of all who attended, providing such a wide range of great 'characters', made the event special - in particular, the attendance of so many from overseas.
I'm looking forward to the next one already.

Neil mate, don't give it another thought; although we'd all liked to have seen (and heard!) more from you, I'm sure we would all rather you recover in full, taking all the time you need, so we can look forward to plenty more events with you next year and beyond.
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

I agree with all the above comments, it was a fantastic weekend which would not have happened without all the hard work behind the scenes. We have a great bunch of people who continue to impress. Thanks for everything and Neil you never have to apologise, I don't know how many times I told you to sit down and have a rest, you just can't keep a Geordie down!

Thanks so much for the invitation and for all the whole great weekend. Perfect friendly and enjoyable experience. Every behind-the-scene problem was totally overcome by the devoted team, since we had a great time indeed.
    Thanks again, really!
