Thread: Map of Fallen Czechoslovaks

    Lightbulb Map of Fallen Czechoslovaks

I want to share you something with you. One Czech guy created a map of places where all Czech pilots (500+) died during WWII. Every pilot has his roundel (badge of Squadron or roundel) and there is a short explanation about his last flight. Would be interesting to check at least Josef František - I am sore you will find him easily

    Fascinating!

A lot of work went into that!

I was interested to know what a Czech pilot was doing flying over the northern Urals (Kubanek), when Google translate revealed the sad sobering truth.....................

Many thanks for posting the link.

The guy said that it took between 80 and 150 hours, he does not know exactly.

Ural is a sad story, you are right.

For me it was also interesting to see how many pilots died during training flights. And for example - I did not know about Medditerranean victims.

It is an important document reminding us of the sacrifices the Czech people made in the fight against the forces of oppression.

Fascinating - This weekend I'm staying near Dell Quay where Antonín Prvonič went down, might go and have a look if I can.
