Very pretty aeroplanes, Tim - love the exhaust marks and aileron outlining - makes that CDL finish really pop. And the DIIIs are looking fine - some Jasta Boelcke action going on there, I see...
All the best,
Matt

Sorry for the fuzzyness of some
Brilliant looking kites, Tim.
I hope you marked those as 'gift' on the Customs tag, Tim, otherwise I might not be able to afford the tax... Beautiful work, as always
And your Blue Division Bolt Action lads above look smashing, Ken! I successfully am maintaining my distance from that game system...
All the best,
Matt
Tim those look awesome and from Matts response something you are sending to him? If so that is why there are great people here. Always thinking of others.
I'm sorry to say that you are half-right, Bob - it was just me joking with Tim - wishful thinking Tim's definitely a great guy
All the best,
Matt
We can always hope to get something like that in the mail.

Fantastic, Eric!
I have the same little beasties myself (but painted by someone else).

Those DO look lovely, Eric - and decals for the flight decks! What a cool idea Although I have no interest in the Pacific Theater, I can certainly appreciate the planes and ships that fought there...
All the best,
Matt
Great looking ships. GHQ good stuff.
Have three planes done but want a good background for them so out to the store tomorrow for the right terrain for them to fly over. Then 4 other American planes to decal.
Nicely done!
I bet Chris (Boney10) thinks it's an improvement!!!!

Nice marker Max. Hard to part with a plane but still useful in the game.

These pictures are with another project I did--the clouds. Awhile back I mentioned that I received a bunch of old DVD's and thought about how I could use them rather then throw them away. I thought about using them as scenery bases, which I had seen on a YOU Tube video. Then I thought how could I use them as clouds for the Wings game and this is what I came up with.

Another view. I guess I could do a How To on how I made the clouds. But what I did was paint the DVD a light blue color. I bought these 18" floral wire and quilting material at the craft store. I cut the wire to 6" lengths and attached three to the DVD base. One with hot glue and one with super glue then attached the quilting material with TACKY GLUE to the wire. Depending on how long you cut the wire depends on how high you clouds will be.
Bob, your last two posts don't show the photos. Invalid Attachment files is noted.
The clouds gave me an idea. When a plane being attacked flies into a cloud they play an extra card before they play the next planed maneuver. So both play their first and second card. The plane being attacked flies into a cloud after the second card. Now that plane plays a card, which simulates that plane being lost in the cloud. Then both play their next maneuver card and ends that turn. Play resumes as normal.

here is another try.

Here is the one with the clouds again.
Still no images.
Don't know what the problem is.
Avengers show up. Maybe the clouds blew off screen.
Nice looking birds, Bob. I was beginning to wonder if you'd modeled Flight 19...
It was just a thought about being in a cloud. The extra card could be random or one you pick. Didn't think of any speed. Glad the photo showed this time.
Guess it could have been flight 19.
Still pondering a WWI zeppelin game where the beast is above the cloud layer, fighters attacking from below, cloud car recon guy just below the clouds, fighters trying to break through . . . occasional holes appear for short moments . . .
Clouds might be something to add a diference in the game
Cool stuff, Bob and Kevin! And in 1/600 scale too, Kevin
Any chance of doing some B-17 decals in 1/200? I was thinking tail 'symbols' in particular...
All the best,
Matt
