Very pretty aeroplanes, Tim - love the exhaust marks and aileron outlining - makes that CDL finish really pop. And the DIIIs are looking fine - some Jasta Boelcke action going on there, I see...

    All the best,
    Matt

They'll be there, but not in any specific game (so far as I know!)

I hope you marked those as 'gift' on the Customs tag, Tim, otherwise I might not be able to afford the tax... Beautiful work, as always

And your Blue Division Bolt Action lads above look smashing, Ken! I successfully am maintaining my distance from that game system...

I can attest to that - look at the Jasta 18 D.VII in my last few Over the Trenches AARs.

Those DO look lovely, Eric - and decals for the flight decks! What a cool idea Although I have no interest in the Pacific Theater, I can certainly appreciate the planes and ships that fought there...

Does rather illustrate the difference between the mid-'30s CVs (_Soryu_, _Hiryu_) and the late-'30s CVs (_Shokaku_, _Zuikaku_)

Have three planes done but want a good background for them so out to the store tomorrow for the right terrain for them to fly over. Then 4 other American planes to decal.

Here's something interesting. It's a Sopwith Triplane that i modified to appear shot down. i did a little bending of the wings, abits of weathering, and some tamiya putty along with static grass to make chopped up ground.

Well here are the AIM Avengers I finished. Three in flight and side view of one. Decals are from our own MISCMINI. The decals are for Wildcats from the Petrof Bay but I saw a picture of an Avenger with these markings so I used them this way.

These pictures are with another project I did--the clouds. Awhile back I mentioned that I received a bunch of old DVD's and thought about how I could use them rather then throw them away. I thought about using them as scenery bases, which I had seen on a YOU Tube video. Then I thought how could I use them as clouds for the Wings game and this is what I came up with.

Another view. I guess I could do a How To on how I made the clouds. But what I did was paint the DVD a light blue color. I bought these 18" floral wire and quilting material at the craft store. I cut the wire to 6" lengths and attached three to the DVD base. One with hot glue and one with super glue then attached the quilting material with TACKY GLUE to the wire. Depending on how long you cut the wire depends on how high you clouds will be.

The clouds gave me an idea. When a plane being attacked flies into a cloud they play an extra card before they play the next planed maneuver. So both play their first and second card. The plane being attacked flies into a cloud after the second card. Now that plane plays a card, which simulates that plane being lost in the cloud. Then both play their next maneuver card and ends that turn. Play resumes as normal.

Interesting idea. Might the extra card provide a beneficial speed boost? What about replacing any planned card (while in the cloud) with a random card?

It was just a thought about being in a cloud. The extra card could be random or one you pick. Didn't think of any speed. Glad the photo showed this time.
Guess it could have been flight 19.

Still pondering a WWI zeppelin game where the beast is above the cloud layer, fighters attacking from below, cloud car recon guy just below the clouds, fighters trying to break through . . . occasional holes appear for short moments . . .

Any chance of doing some B-17 decals in 1/200? I was thinking tail 'symbols' in particular...
