Default Hammerhead 2018 Newark Sat March 3

I have received an invite for Hammerhead next year.
This show is a very good one and we have attended for the past couple of years and greatly enjoyed.
For those who do not know Hammerhead is a show for Participation games so suits us to a tee.

Although this is a way off it is a first come first served so we need to book as soon as we can.
Therefore do we want to take part again next year?
If yes what tables do we want, we generally have three tables WW1, WW2 and Sails are we wanting and able to run three tables again next year?

Maverick and myself will definately do the sails so looking for people to run the WW1 and WW2 tables if we want them and any more for Sails
Have a think chaps and let me know and I will organise the tables for us.

    Ditto!

Well, so long as "whatever you need" excludes enrolling me in that other game....................you know the one I mean (NO SAILS!!!!!!)

Haven't been to a Newark show for years so may well be tempted, particularly if I can make a weekend of it and see the Civil War and the Aviation Museum.

Prefer to be aerial rather than nautical though.
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!

I already put my name down on the Sails forum Chris.

I will be in attendance as a normal show goer. Obviously I can't help you all out, but would like to give the games a try during the day. So I'll be looking to play in the participation games (Normally I just lurk, and don't play games at shows, so I'm hoping by saying something I'll get around to playing).

Have received today email confirmation of the tables for this show.

So we now need to firm up volunteers and a SPOC for each game

SGN Myself, Maverick, Flying Officer Kyte, captain Kiwi, Mcdorf, Rebel
    WGF Flying Helmut, Hedeby, Naharaht
WGS Strangely Brown, John Biggles, Mrs J Biggles, Hawkhurst, Deadly Marion

In bold is the Point of contact for that table
Please can those named confirm they are ok for the show and on the table I have placed, can we have vollunteers to assist, please let me know which table you would like to be initially assigned, nothing to stop people swapping tables as required.

We would need to have people on site around 0900 to help set up and prep for a start at 1000, Ill send out details of address, parking etc next week

Put me down for the SGN table please Chris. But remember that I might only manage a half day depending on how my joints are treating me on the day.

There is a good chance that Gary will come Chris.
I will be there and will also ask Cpt. Kiwi to confirm when I see him later today.

Myself and Alex (aka Dirigible 2) will be attending as payers.
Our club isn't putting a game on, so we can help spell people out for a break if that helps. Or, we can be there around 0920ish (family duties in local area to 0915) and help out for longer. Just let us know....

We are, yes. As last year, it will probably only be for the Saturday, but I know Alex will be keen to play!
Not sure as yet if my eldest would be joining us too - currently he is up to his eyeballs in his final year project at uni...

I might also have to think twice about venturing out if the snow is still about.

Staying in with a bottle of Woods 100 rum and watching the pedestrians get blown towards Africa

    For location purposes

    WGF table GB08
    WGS table GB06
    SoG table GB07

As things stand now I have heard nothing about the show not going ahead but of course things are dependant on the weather.
My intention is still be be there Saturday as planned weather permitting.
I shall mail again Friday to check weather and who can or cannot attend and see what we can do.

It msy be ok in Newark, but here in Bristol its coming down thick and fast, will see road states tomorrow

Roads around town are slushy but passable. Snowfall is light but constant all morning.
Fall so far (uncleared table, town centre back garden) is ~3".
As of right now, A17 is closed Beckingham - Leasingham (Sleaford), due to snow. Hopefully will be cleared.
I suggest monitoring Radio Newark on Facebook, and also 107.8 as you get closer, for local area travel.
Consider also Gem 106; and Lincs FM 102.2...
    Public service announcement ends....
