Thread: One for the WW2 buffs

Default One for the WW2 buffs

I was in The Works at Eastbourne this morning when I spotted on the bookshelf 'One of the Few' by Johnny Kent for the grand sum of three squid. Not for me this time but something that may interest the WW2 enthusiasts out there.

This is Group Captain Kent's own story of his life in the RAF. He became the youngest licenced pilot in Canada at seventeen & took a short service commission with the RAF in the 1930s.
He went on to become the leader of one of the most successful fighter squadrons in the Second World War - Johnny Kent's skilful leadership helping the famous 303 Squadron to play such a decisive part in the Battle of Britain, and winning him the highest Polish military award, the Virtuti Militari.

    Nice grab Dave.
Please let us know what it's like when you have finished it.

Definitely one for my list given Johnny Kent’s service with the Poles. Thanks for posting.

    Thumbs up

I bet Andy will grab that one if he has not already got it in his 303 Sqd library.
