As part of my 2017 New Year's resolutions, I made a goal to plan a dedicated gaming day, with my wife's permission of course, at least once every 4-6 weeks...so far so good!! I was able to coordinate some Wings of Glory games at Madness Games and Comics in Plano, TX last Saturday, August 19th. We played four games of WWI.
We only had three players since we had a few last minute cancellations the morning of the event; however, Coog (aka Bobby Perkins) drove in from Tyler, TX to join us. It was also GenCon 50 weekend in Indianapolis, so attendance was very light at the store.
If you remember my most recent AAR postings, my best friend Craig Holloway played his first two games of WOG (WWII). It was his second time playing WOG, his first time playing WWI and his first time visiting a FLGS. He had a great time and is looking forward to joining us for our next WOG event on Saturday, September 16th and will be there for the full day! It looks like we will have 6-10 players!! Craig and I plan on seeing Dunkirk after. I also invited Craig to join our forum.
We used the Basic, Standard Rules and Altitude rules (max. altitude 4 "by the book").
Entente Powers - Coog (all four games)
Central Powers - Craig Holloway (first two games) and Mike Jones (aka Dwarflord22)
Although I took LOTS of pictures, I forgot to bring my camera and all of my cellphone pictures uploaded to the forum sideways, so I provided links to the albums instead. I added a few of the pics below anyway.
Coog and I played one game of Stars Wars X Wing after. Scott Hammonds stopped by the store later in the evening, but was unable to join us for a game.
