Phillip here is another view and you can see the sign. I says 2nd but I didn't think it was. Had to go and look at my books and it is the 8th SS Panzer Div.
I think the sign says 2nd troop 8th Abtelung.

Very neat front view, Bob! The 8th SS Division was a cavalry division - "Florian Geyer" - in addition to its horse-mounted regiments, it would have had the usual mix of support units: artillery, anti-tank, engineer, supply, anti-aircraft, etc. SS-Pz-Jgr Abteilung 8 would have been the anti-tank 'battalion' of the division, with its various companies equipped (often) with various weapons. It would not have been unusual to have a company of towed AT guns (50 or 75mm), an SP AT company (Hetzers or Marders or StuGs), etc...not that the Abt. couldn't have been all tracked, mind you. But in a somewhat '2nd Tier' division like Florian Geyer, the mixed components would probably have been more common.

Thanks Matt. I went to an old Squadron/Signals book to see what the unit was and saw the markings as the 8th SS. The tank show is on the 23rd so will have more pictures.
SIgh...all these tank pics make me want to put a few more thousand games on my World of Tanks account. Over 30K already
