Still nearly the newest kid on the block, I suspect, but we chaulk up another milestone!
A piece of artwork by my better half in honour of the occassion.
A very big Happy Birthday, Canada!

Happy Birthday Canada.
Happy birthday Canada! My Pepe (grandfather) came from Bouctouche in New Brunswick. I probably have more relatives I don't know about up in the Maritimes than I have known ones down here in the states.
Happy Birthday Canada! A branch of my Mother's family had to flee to Canada after the American Revolution as things became too "warm" for them in the Hudson River Valley because they had actively sided with the Crown....They lived happily for many generations "up there"...as a child I remember fondly the last generation's annual treks back here to visit with us.
Very nice bit of commemorative artwork, Mike. I see it runs in your family.
Happy Canada Day (or Dominion Day as we used to call it - and apparently my 3-year old Grandson is calling it as well) from a fellow Canajen.
The flag is flying (well at least hanging) in Portland.
I was watching the start of the Red Sox/Blue Jays game and when they did the national anthems it brought a tear to my eye. Funny but it seemed that the folks there respected the US anthem more then the people here. Happy Birthday.
Canada a great place to live Happy birthday Canada
Happy Birthday to Canada
I have been to Canada a number of times. My best memory was at the Royal Horse Artillery Club in Kingston. 5 Americans walk in and the bartender tells us it is a private club (like our Legion). We turn to leave and one gentleman asks if we are military and yes we are. Never met a better bunch of guys. They treated us like we had known each other for years. Had many a Molsen that night and played a number of shuffle board games. A time I will never forget.
Here's to the chapsš up north!
š including women; but I don't know the equivalent term!
The other memory was on a cruise and first stop was St John. After doing the tourist thing we managed to find a pub. Again fantastic people (good beer also).
Me, the wife and my best friend. His wife went back to the ship (they have slot machines).
ooohhhhh canada.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Happy 150th Birthday Canada!
Where was I on Canada Day 2017? Frying my brains in the hot sun. Parts of me are a bit like the Canadian Flag, today. Red and white all over.
