For the second game we decided the attackers should consist of a B17 escorted by the P47. The first mat is defended by an Re.2001 and a D520, the second by two BF-110's, and the city one by a couple of CR.42's. That should provide a more survivable scenario for the attacking force we thought.
The first action. The D520 managed to collide with the B17.
Their is an exchange of fire. Both aircraft are hit hard.
The P47 rushes in and downs the Re.2001.
Glowing with the sense of victory our intrepid P47 pilot grossly underestimates his speed and overestimates his turning ability and sails off the edge of his mat!!!!
The B17 driver presses on stoically/ and exchanges fire with the dark 110. B17 picks up an engine damage hit.
Lucky that B17 has so many guns! He exchanges fire with both 110's as he jinks and weaves towards his target.
Despite his zig zagging the B17 manages to destroy the target as he comes under fire from the CR42's.
The CR42's manage to down the B17 with another engine damage hit.
A longer and more satisfying game than the first one.
