If anyone has a branch of "The Works" near them I recommend popping in and picking up a copy of this:



It's a really good read, covering the history of Supermarine and RJ Mitchell, and contains a large number of photos, plans and illustrations of all Supermarine projects, a lot of which didn't get off the ground, so to speak. And for 8 squids you can't go wrong.
