LONG overdue, here are my photos from Salute 2017.
busy hall!
Germans ready
The RFC approach the trenches
First manoeuvres
First casualty - Tutscheck (Brambo) on the receiving end of a 'BOOM' card
I'm on - close range, tailing.............receiving Wounded Pilot and GUN JAM!
no guns for 4 cards - get clear, then return when guns are restored
Jabba, flying as MvR, joins the attack....................
....................with just the desired effect!
With guns cleared, I'm back on the two-seater hunt.
General overview
2 x 'A' @ +1 GUNS JAM AGAIN!
unlike Andrzej, I am NOT a "Happy Jammer"!
Tailing again. but no guns! Fortunately, John Biggles' observer is photographing the target, not shooting at me!
The FE2 is hit by "Archie", as I veer off again to clear my jammed guns
Four cards later, I'm ready to re-engage, alongside an approaching wingman
Manfred duels with a Tripehound.
A new group of RFC planes joins in
"Archie" misses the FE2 (and me!)
Got him! The photograph won't make it back to British HQ
The new RFC group is in trouble already
Ready for the next target
Manfred on fire!
A BE2 pops out of a cloud, only to be engaged by 2 Albatri.
My (Frommherz's) second "kill"
Tutscheck on fire, chasing another FE2
Accumulated fire damage takes Tutscheck down (for the second time this game)
Manfred, his fire now out, puts down a Pup
Two newly-arrived Nieuport 17s try to keep the Albatros D.I away from an RE8
Karl Emil Schafer's D.II takes down a second Pup
"Game" called at that point, allowing a reset for WW2 Battle of Britain
German victory, 6 kills to 2, with no photographs returned to British HQ.
